I can say that now. It has been one year and 149 posts since I first started my just helen blog! It's a crazy busy day, but I can't miss a post, so I will start with some pictures.
Today, in honor of my big day, the Blue Angels flew right over my house…wasn't that nice of them?
Cool, huh! Okay, I will have to admit, there's an airshow going on at MCAS in San Diego. I always try to get pictures from my front lawn and sometimes I catch one in focus. Love the Blue Angels!!! Go Angels!!!
Yesterday, I went to Disneyland with Meg and Seija. It was the last chance for me to go before my pass expires (and I'm taking a year pass to Disneyland break) and Halloween was up and I love Halloween, so here's some pictures to share!
Here are some fabulous pumpkins that are carved right there in Frontierland. Prepare to be inspired!
I think Megan really liked this Yoda one!!!
It wouldn't be Halloween at Disneyland without the transformation of the Haunted Mansion to the Nightmare Before Christmas theme. All hail the Pumpkin King!
It wasn't too busy. I got in my Buzz Lightyear, Pirates, Small World, Tiki room, Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion a few times. I sat out the Space Mountain (I hold down the fort – drinks – while everyone else goes on the ride!) It was hot and humid, although when we were driving in, there was lightening and rain in the distance. But the park open late and closed early because of Mickey's Halloween Trick-or-Treat – it's in the Disneyland Park this year, and we were tired so we called it an early evening. It was a lot of fun seeing all the trick-or-treaters in costume, so we three were thinking of a trio of characters that we could dress up as next year…but I'm not telling – it's going to have to stay top secret until next year…just in time for my 2nd anniversary!
Happy anniversary to me and to all a good-night!

Can you imagine trying to carve with such precision? That is amazing. The talent some have is so great to witness.
