I Just Couldn’t Wait!

I know, I know…Halloween is in the Fall, and Fall doesn't officially begin until September 22nd and that's tomorrow…but I couldn't wait any longer!!! This paper has been patiently waiting at my desk while I am cleaning, or working, or busy with other projects, but I love the paper and it was time to play a little.

Now that I've done a layout, I'll start playing with the scraps for cards…maybe tomorrow after I go buy a #10 can of pumpkin (it's lots cheaper that way) and divide it into double-batch measurements, make up a batch of Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies and freeze the rest!  It's a vicious cycle – I see pumpkins and it starts getting cooler outside, and all of a sudden I have the urge to bake.  We have a new Albertson's that opened closer to home, and they have been having specials.  They looked at me a little funny when I came to the check-out with a grocery basket full of 5 lb. packages of flour (99 cents each) and I knew…I knew that I wasn't in Utah any more.

I may not be able to resist decorating the house until the traditional October 1st.  Getting those bins and boxes out of the attic is another story!  Hooray for Fall!!!

Helen, You are too funny! Well Teresa sent me the link, so I thought what the heck! Very entertaining. I actually have that same book (confessions of an organized housewife), and about 5 others. Can you share the pumpkin Chocolate chip recipe? My new son-in-law to be loves pumpkin.
    Thanks,
    Marietta

I love your blog, it’s very cute. I see why you don’t have time to be cleaning all the time! I must say though that I dress down to clean. I don’t want to get my chiffon dress all sweaty!

if you were here, I’d make some for you…maybe, if I have time, I’ll bring some to Time Out!!!

  4. If Meggie were making them, she’d make sure to save some for me without the chocolate chips. What a sweet sister, huh?

  5. Helen says:

Sounds good, huh! Oh, and I found a recipe for pumpkin bars as well…Fall is here!

(and I love the layout, Mom! It’s way cute!)
